First Responders Only Event - In Stavanger, Norway

First Responders Only: This is a First Responder Event, 1. of it’s kind this year. We invite First Responders from anywhere in the world to join us for a roundtrip in some of the most beautiful areas in Norway.
Fjords & Mountains: You’ll get it all; Pulpit Rock, Lysefjorden, Flørli 4444, Kjeragbolten, Sirdal and back to Stavanger. 5 days with hikes, amazing view of the fjords, fun while connecting with other First Responders from anywhere in the world.
About BadgEvent: Badgevent is a global non-profit organization dedicated to fostering camaraderie, wellness, and joy among the brave men and women who serve as our first line of defense. Our mission is to connect police officers, firefighters, and medical personnel through a shared spirit of adventure and friendly competition.
Day 1: Arrival in Stavanger – Wednesday
Morning: Participants are encouraged to arrive in Stavanger early to explore the city at their leisure. For those arriving earlier, recommendations for breakfast spots and morning activities in the city center will be provided.
Afternoon: Scheduled pickups from Stavanger Airport will begin in the afternoon. Transport to the hotel will be arranged in regular intervals to accommodate various arrival times. Upon arrival at the hotel, guests will have time to settle in and relax.
Evening: Welcome dinner at a local restaurant in Stavanger, offering traditional Norwegian cuisine. This will be an opportunity for participants to meet and get acquainted with the group.
Day 2: Pulpit Rock Adventure – Thursday
Morning: After breakfast at the hotel, the group departs for Pulpit Rock. The journey begins with an exhilarating RIB cruise into Lysefjorden, offering unique views of the fjord.
Midday: The hike to Pulpit Rock starts from Lysefjorden, ascending approximately 1000m above sea level. This off-the-beaten-path approach provides a more secluded experience. Lunch will be enjoyed with breathtaking views of Lysefjorden from Pulpit Rock.
Afternoon: Descent follows the regular trail down to Basecamp Preikestolen. The group will have some time to explore the basecamp area.
Evening: Return transport to Stavanger. The day concludes with a group dinner at another distinguished restaurant in Stavanger, offering a different aspect of Norwegian cuisine.
Day 3: Flørli 4444 Hike – Friday
Morning: Following breakfast, departure by boat or car to Flørli, known for housing the world’s longest wooden staircase, Flørli 4444. Detailed information about the history and significance of Flørli will be shared en route.
Midday: The ascent of the 4444 stairs begins, promising unparalleled views and a truly memorable experience. A packed lunch will be provided for a picnic at the top.
Afternoon: Descent via a separate trail, leading to the exploration of “Kallaliklumpen,” a notable point of interest offering spectacular views.
Evening: Overnight stay in Flørli. Dinner at a local venue, focusing on locally sourced ingredients.
Day 4: Kjeragbolten Excursion – Saturday
Early Morning: Departure from Flørli to Lysebotn by boat, followed by transport to the trailhead for Kjeragbolten, nestled 1000 meters above sea level.
Morning to Afternoon: Hike to Kjeragbolten, with opportunities for photography and enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings. Lunch in the wilderness.
Late Afternoon: Return to the trail start and proceed to Sirdal. Check-in at Sirdal Høyfjellshotell.
Evening: Dinner at “Slottet,” a renowned local dining establishment, followed by a relaxing evening at the hotel.
Day 5: Biking to Tonstad and Return to Stavanger – Sunday
Morning: Post-breakfast, the group embarks on a bike tour to Tonstad, covering 42km of picturesque landscapes at an easy pace. This route is selected for its scenic beauty and relatively gentle terrain.
Afternoon: Lunch in Tonstad, offering a chance to enjoy local delicacies. After lunch, transport back to Stavanger is arranged.
Evening: Farewell dinner in Stavanger. This final gathering will be a celebration of the journey, with a slideshow of photos taken during the tour (participants are encouraged to share their best shots). A brief feedback session will also be conducted to gather insights and suggestions for future tours.

Accommodation: Details about each hotel, including amenities and contact information, will be provided ahead of time.
Meals: All meals are included, with an emphasis on local cuisine and dietary options available upon request.
Guides: Experienced guides will accompany the group on all excursions, providing insights and ensuring safety.
Preparation: A detailed packing list and preparatory information will be sent to all participants, including recommended fitness preparations for the hikes.
This enhanced itinerary aims to provide a more immersive experience, with added meals, insights, and activities to ensure participants enjoy a comprehensive exploration of Stavanger and its surroundings.
